Seeing as Im going to Culinary School in April I thought I would start posting pictures of some of my original recipes. Sorry for the bad quality on the images. I also spelled Gremolata wrong on the picture.

Culinary Art is my forte. I am very intrigued by the rising modern cuisine known as "Global Cuisine". For example, a single dish incorporating many ingredients, flavors, and techniques from different parts of the world. This type of cuisine has potential for completely original ideas and flavor combinations. I have been cooking years before I started any of my other mediums.

Some Ingredients in this Dish:
-Canadian Black Tiger Shrimp / maple syrup
-Lager from Germany
-Chinese Five Spice (cinnamon, star anise, cloves, fennel seed, Ginger Root) / Garlic Stems
-Italian White Wine/ Parmesan Reggiano / Gremolata
-Japanese Enoki Mushrooms/ Blue Crab Broth used in japanese and korean cuisine

The Auq's Downfall

Statement:
The Auq is what appeared in the gallery when the imaginary world and our reality collided. The Auq attempts for the viewer to reconcile with or simply remember their greatest childhood fears and childhood imaginary monsters.
This idea came from my realization that all humans grow out of 'childhood fears' by realizing their real and more possible fears. And my fascination with someone I knew who during their childhood saw (most likely) imaginary monsters.
One may walk into the Auq and witness other monsters living within it. No one, even the people who caught a glimpse of the Auq during the show will ever get to see the innards of an Auq again.


The Auq (2008) Mixed Foam(Leftover High Density foam from the foundry Jim Dyne built his 30 foot Pinnochio sculpture in 2008-which is now in Sweden) , Light, Sounds, Fan.
